The TurfMutt Foundation is pleased to partner with the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) to present a kid-friendly webinar about 10 weird – but super cool! – animal adaptations.

Animals can be beautiful and fun to watch – and your own backyard can be the theater. Animals can also be weird and surprising.

This webinar helps kids learn about the cool tricks that animals can do to help them survive in the wild. From frogs that freeze themselves in the winter to lizards that walk on water, your child will be fascinated to learn about these crazy behaviors and why they are important.

Watch this webinar to learn:

  • What are “adaptations” (AKA cool tricks), and how adaptations help animals survive in the wild.
  • 10 cool adaptations used by animals around the world.
  • Small actions to take to help these animals.

This webinar is perfect for parents and their kids to watch together. Then, you can go to your own patch of nature – your backyard – to see if you can identify any of these unique animals.
