Across the country Mother Nature is turning up the volume on fall colors. With cooler temperatures, a break in humidity and foliage at its finest, autumn is a spectacular time to get outdoors with your family.

- Take a hike! Whether you walk in your neighborhood park, take a drive into the country or up into the mountains there is no easier way to become one with nature than on your own two feet.
- Go on a family bike ride. Be sure to bring the camera – now’s the perfect time to snap your holiday photo.
- Picnic in the park – or in your own yard. For an inexpensive outing pack a picnic and head to your favorite park. Or, save gas and just spread a blanket in your own yard. Play your favorite outdoor game like a Frisbee or football for a friendly family match-up.
- Fall festivals. From hayrides and pumpkin patches to Oktoberfest and more, check out your local community calendar for events that serve up a taste of the season.
