Want to boost your brain health? Move closer to the forest, says new research from German scientists.
In a study of those living in urban environments, researchers found those living closer to forest land had stronger, healthier brain function. Compared with those living in mostly man-made environments, those living closer to forests may be better able to manage stress, researchers concluded.
The scientists studied 341 participants between the ages of 61 and 82 who are part of the Berlin Aging Study II. Read the full study here.
