By Mutt Mulligan Happy Adopt-A-Dog Month & Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month from TurfMutt
October is a big month for pet adoption. The American Humane Association has designated October Adopt-A-Dog Month, while the ASPCA calls October Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month. As a rescue dog himself, this is something TurfMutt can really wag his tail to get behind!
In fact, TurfMutt is so committed to pet adoption and pet rescue that he’s hosting the MUTT MADNESS pet adoption event with the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) next week at GIE+EXPO in Louisville. On Thursday, October 18th, GIE+EXPO participants will have the chance to meet their fur-ever friend. The MUTT MADNESS “show dogs” and puppies will all hail from the KHS, which will process the adoption paperwork.
Even if you aren’t attending GIE+EXPO, you can still help a pet in need by visiting your local animal shelter and adopting a rescue pet. If you do, we’d love to see your pet pics and hear your pet adoption story on TurfMutt’s Facebook and Twitter pages!
