Happy Animal Shelter Appreciation Week from TurfMutt

Did you know this week is Animal Shelter Appreciation Week? It’s a good opportunity to support your local animal shelter and pet rescue groups. It’s also a chance for us to share a little extra love with our former shelter pets who are now members of the family.

Animal shelters are always in need of donations, money and a helping hand. Most will post their biggest needs on their websites.

The ASPCA estimates that about 6.5 million dogs and cats enter US animal shelters each year. According to the ASPCA, about 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted annually.

If you’re in the market for a new companion pet, TurfMutt encourages you to consider a shelter dog or cat. And if you and your family have some time to spend volunteering with a rescue organization or animal shelter in your community, TurfMutt supports that, too!
