TurfMutt has the perfect tool to help kids hone their creative writing skills before the big Be a Backyard Superhero Contest launches this fall! Check out the story starter at TurfMutt.com.

Kids start by entering their name and clicking on their grade level. A simple pull of the SPIN lever offers storytelling options to get the creative juices flowing. Different parts of the story can be altered by spinning the individual wheels at the bottom of each section.

A digital notebook on the next page offers a blank canvas upon which students can tell their tale. There’s even a section for drawing a picture to go with the story!
