Growing Your Garden with Fido in Mind

Did you know Easter lilies, hydrangeas and foxglove are toxic for animals? Planting a garden that is non-toxic for Fido and friends can be tricky. This list shows you what to watch for. Not every plant is included that your pet might be allergic to, so it is always best to consult your local veterinarian if you have concerns.

When planting your yard, keep your pet’s behavior in mind. Do you have a dog that likes to run? Consider a track with mulch or some other paw-friendly material. Plant trees to ensure shady spots during the hot summer months. Make sure your pet has access to drinkable water as well. What other things might you consider for outdoor fun with your pet?
