TurfMutt's winter infographic

Winter is just around the corner, and in many parts of the country Jack Frost is already nipping at noses. TurfMutt has some important reminders for homeowners. During the wintertime, you need to keep everyone in the family – including your pets – safe.

Check out this infographic to see TurfMutt’s wise winter tips.

Bring Pets Inside
Dogs and cats should be kept inside during cold weather months. They will be most comfortable and safest inside with you. Read more TurfMutt recommendations for keeping your pets safe during cold weather.

Pick Up Debris
Before it snows, remove debris and household items from your family yard. Doormats, hoses, toys and sticks can hide under snow and could harm your snow thrower, family or pets.

Clear a Path
Your snow thrower is a convenient way to clear your driveway and sidewalks. You can also use it to clear a path to your pet’s bathroom area.

Watch Where You Throw
Keep your kids and pets away from your snow removal equipment. Never put your hand in the cute or auger to clear a blockage. Instead, turn off the machine and use a clean-out tool.

Trim Trees Carefully
When using a chainsaw, stand with your weight on both feet, adjust your stance so you are angled away from the blade, and hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
