Many areas of the country are blanketed in snow, which means kids are out of school and likely going stir crazy. But never fear, parents! TurfMutt is here to save the day.
As you know, TurfMutt and the Outdoor Powers teach kids and families backyard science. But even on days when your kids are stuck inside they can learn from TurfMutt. Here are just a few of the resources that are available at TurfMutt.com, thanks to our partnership with Scholastic.
- Cutout Story Maker
Parents or kids can use scissors to cut out the characters and then illustrate a story about how TurfMutt and the Outdoor Powers can save the planet one yard at a time from the Environmental Villains.
- Digital Storybooks

- Activity Sheets
The TurfMutt activity sheets are not only fun, they’re also educational! It’s Alive helps children learn to distinguish between living and non-living landscapes. Grow, Grass, Grow teaches kids about the lifecycle and stages of grass growth. Battling Extreme Weather is all about the trouble that TurfMutt’s enemies Heat Freak, Dr. Runoff, Carbon Creep and Dust Demon are stirring up, and how the Outdoor Powers save the day.
