TurfMutt helps Darby go to the head of the class

Lucky Dog – the TV show on CBS that follows trainer Brandon McMillan as he rescues, trains and places pound pups in their new homes – is on summer break. But that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the Emmy-award winning show that features TurfMutt.

Check out this compilation episode that highlights six of the dogs that Brandon rescued.

One of the dogs, Darby, was adopted to help kids, just like TurfMutt does! Darby’s owner, Sarah, is a school teacher who will take the pup into the classroom to help students gain more confidence in their reading.

  Turfgrass can withstand the foot traffic of pets and kids. If you select the right species for your climate, it can even hold up during dry spells and drought.
• Maintain diversity.
  Grass, trees, shrubs and other plant life provide food and habitat for birds and small mammals. Xeriscaping or hardscaping forces birds, squirrels and other animals to forage for food elsewhere.
• Include pollinators.
  Evolve your yard to incorporate pollinator plants for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Even in the desert, a host of plants flower!
