This year’s Lucky’s Mutt Madness national adoption event at GIE+EXPO in Louisville was a huge success. Thanks to the thousands of attendees at GIE+EXPO, 15 pups found their fur-ever homes.

From puppies to older dogs and even a three-legged furry friend named Clover, the industry met the adoptable dogs with open arms. There was also a two-time adoption story.

Patti Beres adopted a pup named Forrest at last year’s event. This year, a sweet poodle mix named Oliver caught her eye. “As I was walking out I saw Oliver being held by a volunteer. Sometimes you just get the feeling that it was meant to be. That’s what happened – I just saw him and immediately there was a connection,” says Patti.

Another adoptee – Mulligan, a mixed breed rescue puppy – was adopted by OPEI’s Kris Kiser. She will take on the new role as the voice of the TurfMutt Foundation.

Keep an eye on TurfMutt’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds to watch as Mulligan grows into the cap and fills the paw prints left by the original TurfMutt, Lucky, who recently passed away while working at the TurfMutt Foundation.
