November 13th

Have you considered adopting a senior dog? If so, there is no better time than the present since November is “Adopt a Senior Dog Month”
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), there are many reasons to consider adopting an older dog.
- They are easier to train. Older dogs are typically already house trained and they are past the chewing stage, so your furniture and shoes are safe. Also, senior dogs have less energy than puppies, meaning they are better at focusing on you and the training task at hand.
- They require less time. Since they are through the puppy phase, senior dogs also require less constant attention than their younger canine counterparts.
- They are super lovable. Older dogs have been around the block, so they tend to settle in quickly, becoming part of your “pack” in a snap. They are grateful to become part of your home and anxious to show their appreciation and love.
