By Mutt Mulligan Happy National Dog Day from Mutt Mulligan
August 26 is National Dog Day, and Mutt Mulligan is here to wish all her canine friends a happy day! Like the founder of National Dog Day, MoMo is also urging people to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year.
Mulligan herself is a rescue dog. Mulligan was abandoned along with her siblings, rescued by the Kentucky Humane Society and adopted by TurfMutt Foundation president, Kris Kiser, during Lucky’s Mutt Madness. That’s the national dog adoption event that takes place during GIE+EXPO, the international landscape, outdoor living and equipment exposition.
Mulligan and 14 other dogs found their fur-ever homes at the event in 2019. The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) and GIE+EXPO partner with the TurfMutt Foundation on Lucky’s Mutt Madness.
