More and more, you can find a variety of grass seeds to grow the lawn that fits your particular area and weather patterns.  All About Lawns has some tips on different types of grass you can plant.

Native Grass Seed

Native grasses are indigenous to a particular region’s soil conditions and rainfall, which makes this type of grass seed more naturally resistant to diseases and pests.

Organic Grass Seed

These are grasses grown with seed containing no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

Warm or Cool Season Lawns?

Grass varieties can be divided into two main categories: warm season and cool season. Warm season lawns are much better at tolerating high temperatures, while cool season lawns can withstand colder temperatures in the winter.
