Reflections on Arbor Day

Last Friday, April 29th, it was Arbor Day in most States.  Celebrating Arbor Day stretches back to 1874 in Nebraska and began to spread to other States from there.  

The Arbor Day foundation has a great page on the “History of Arbor Day” through an interactive history book.

And a nice resource page encouraging children to get out in nature and explore Nature – something we can certainly agree with!

It is important to remember that proper tree care starts when you select a tree and that what you do to your tree in its first few years of life will affect its shape, strength, and even its life span. Following important steps will make sure tree gets on the correct foot and keep it healthy throughout its life.
